Introducing Jack Seda-Schreiber: Guest Curator of the NGP Arts Initiative
Dear Readers,
Today we are happy to announce the second curator of the NGP Arts Initiative: Jack Seda-Schreiber! After the wonderful tenureship of our previous guest curator (Sophie Fishman) who focused on the visual arts, we are especially excited to bring you a new range of pieces that fall under Jack’s specialty—music.
Jack is a man of many talents. Born in New Jersey, Jack has an almost encyclopedic knowledge of music and a wide and diverse range of musical tastes. He has done interviews with the likes of Peter Hook (Joy Division/New Order), Skinny Pelembe, Ana Frango Elétrico, Kid Koala (Deltron 3030), David Coulter (The Pogues), visual artist Jamie Hewlett and many of the people behind his cartoon band Gorillaz for a multitude of different online newspapers and forums.
Jack not only manages an up-and-coming indie record label known as Studio Suzuki but is a musician in his own right. You can find his releases on all streaming platforms whether it's his artist/producer alter ego "Super Jack" or one of his many projects such as the bands “Sugar Water” and “Room 13.”
Jack plans to bring you think pieces, musical analyses, and interviews with a multitude of acts and bands over the course of the next few months. He hopes to showcase the political and social movements that are both caused and inspired by the art and music around them.
